A much loved and admired singer of today will be giving a recital of music by Schumann, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Tchaikowsky, Duparc and some English songs.

Felicity will be appearing for the RCS between engagements at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the Metropolitan Opera, New York. Apart from regular appearances at these opera houses she also sings at La Scala, Milan, the Deutsche Opera, Berlin, the Opera de Paris, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the English National Opera.

Among her most famous roles are Klytemnestra in Richard Strauss’ opera Elektra; The Old Prioress in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmelites; Mistress Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff and the Countess in Tchaikovsky’s Pique Dame

But away from the opera houses Felicity has also distinguished herself in concert performances with major orchestras and conductors.

Her many recordings include Stravinsky’s La Rossignol; Messiaen’s Poèmes pour Mi with Pierre Boulez and vocal music by Benjamin Britten for EMI and two CD’s of Victorian and Edwardian songs with the pianist John Constable.

Felicity also enjoys giving masterclasses in Europe and the USA as well as continuing as and when her heavy schedule permits to contribute to the work of the music colleges in England.

Felicity was made a CBE for her services to music in 1993.

Simon Lepper is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after accompanists. He perfomed for the RCS at the last event of the 2006-7 Season when he appeared with the cellist, Gemma Rosefield.
